With the Camaro gone, I finally found a Mustang GT that I liked - picked it up yesterday! She has 91,000 miles on her and is bone stock save for a Hurst shifter. I was indifferent about the colour initially but it’s really growing on me, especially in the evening sun:

Legend Lime is my favorite ‘05-’09 color, hands down; but I will forever call it Seafoam Green, because that is what it is.

Congrats!

Nice. The V8 is a far better design than the V6.

If the center console 12v socket doesn’t work check for the presence of a dime or penny in the socket. Happens startlingly often. Also wiggle the seats around with nobody sitting in them. Sometimes the bolts like to work themselves a turn or two out of the floor and the result is super obnoxious rattle.

Thanks man! I think I want to take the stripes off and just enjoy its maximum limeyness.

Thanks! I’m very impressed with the 4.6, seems much more happy to rev than some of the other V8s I’ve experienced. It has enough power for the crappy tyres its on for now, haha.

So far the power outlet seems to work fine, I plugged my V1 in as soon as I picked it up, lol.

The only rattle it has at the moment is coming from the shifter, I pulled the gaitor off this morning and it seems the previous owner didn’t install the rubber gasket between the linkage and the shifter arm, so hopefully it should be an easy fix.

The P-Zeros they put on these from the factory are quite......meh on dry pavement. Such is an all-weather tire.

Step 1: Upgrade lower control arms and that ABYSMAL stock panhard rod.

The factory ECU settings will not give you more than 85% throttle in first gear when you mash it and 90% in second due to the torque management settings and it’s control over the fully electronic throttle body. Even if you do nothing else a performance tune for the ECU actually wakes these cars up.

Removing the stripes may or may not be a good idea. If this car sat un-garaged in the elements I would bet the paint under the stripes is darker than what is readily seen.

That throttle info is interesting, thanks !

The current tyres are a brand I’ve never heard of and light up way too easy!

I am aware of the likely fading in the paint , unfortunately these ones are tatty and not well applied so its a gamble I’m going to have to take. Worst case scenario it gets re-striped!

If they weren’t well applied chances are they weren’t from the factory and hopefully not on the car very long.

Thought the same of the colour. No way I would like it. Then I saw it on the assembly line and decided it was perfect. Very throwback to go with the style. Enjoy!
